This is where we will keep you updated on what is going on. We will post pictures of the puppies weekly after they are born.
8/6/04 Callie in in heat!! We will plan on breeding her sometime next week, then there is a 9 weeks gestation before the puppies are born.
8/18/04 The breedings have taken place...the puppies are due around October 18th!!
 9/9/04 Just a quick update...Callie is doing great and definately getting bigger!! Left is a picture we took this morning of the "Happy-Go-Lucky" girl.
9/17/04 Callie is continuing to get very LARGE. There is no doubt in my mind she is going to have a large litter!! A housekeeping note...for those who are interested in a puppy from this litter...take home date is right before Christmas, so if you are traveling or have a lot of family and activities planned, we will be happy to keep your puppy until after the holidays.
9/20/04 Callie had a sonogram today! We were able to see several puppies.
10/2/04 We are counting down the days to due date!! About 2 weeks left. We are going to start setting up the whelping box and getting all the supplies we need this weekend.
10/5/04 We were able to feel the puppies moving around tonight!!
 10/8/04 A little more than a week until the due date... Poor Callie is miserable because of her large belly. She is ready for the pregnancy to be over with! Here is a picture we took of her tonight. Soon Callie...Soon!
10/11/04 One week left! Our daily entertainment now consists of watching Callie's belly move as the puppies are kicking and moving around inside.
10/15/04 am Callie's temperature dropped last night...she is nesting and panting and determined to have the puppies under Ryan's bed instead of in her whelping box. Ryan (Our 13 year old) says NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
 10/16/04 After a loooong night all the puppies are now here!! Callie and Storm are the proud parents of 9 very healthy robust puppies. (5 boys and 4 girls). The puppies all weighed over a pound at birth with the largest (hot pink) weighing 1 lb 4.6 oz and the smallest (Purple and Navy tied) weighing 1 lb 1.1 oz. Mom and puppies are all doing great! (picture note...cocoa is hiding under light pink!) A quick note for everyone who has already submitted an application for a puppy from us...if you are interested in a puppy from this litter please zip me a quick email and let me know!! 
10/17/04 Newborn puppy pictures have been posted on the pups page!
10/23/04 One week pictures have been posted! As you can see from the picture on the right, the dinner table is already getting smaller, and the puppies are losing their newborn stripes. (The other 4 puppies are napping behind Callie which is why she is not laying completely down.)
10/27/04 The puppies are getting bigger and bigger. I am always amazed at how fast they grow. Today we were suprised to see eyes!! Purple boy's eyes are almost all the way open and Hot Pink Girl's eyes are not far behind.
10/30/04 Two Week Pictures Posted! 
11/3/04 The puppies all got new collars today. They are growing up so fast. We believe several are planning on how to escape the puppy box! We will probably move everyone into a bigger xpen this weekend complete with crate, play and potty area. Here is a picture of our son Christopher napping with the puppies. (yes that is a hole in the knees of his pants...we cannot convince him to get rid of those pair of jeans!)
10/6/04 Three Week Pictures have been posted! The puppies all had their first taste of puppy gruel today...the response...2 paws up!! They all loved it.
11/13/04 Last Sunday all the puppies moved into their new pen, which has more room for them to run around. They all readily accepted it and amazingly have been exceptionally good at keeping their crate clean and dry! They have also been supplemented with puppy gruel this past week. This week we will start to wean them from Callie. Four week puppy pictures have been posted.
